The Teenage Services Act provides case management
services for pregnant and parenting teens.
To be enrolled in the program:

Participant must be eligible for Medicaid;
·
Participant must be a pregnant and/or parenting
adolescent;
And,
·
Enroll in the program before their 21st
birthday.
The broad mission of TASA is to facilitate
self-sufficiency and
ultimate economic independence
with eligible adolescents. The purpose of the case management system is to
“help adolescents maintain and strengthen their family life, and attain or
retain the capability for maximum self-support and personal independence.”
Anyone can make referrals to the program.
Participation in the program is completely voluntary.
***As a result of a change in State Medicaid policy, effective December 1, 2011, Medicaid will no longer reimburse providers for optional targeted Comprehensive Medicaid Case Management services, specifically for TASA programs. Please contact your primary health care provider for services.***
